Empowering People. Transforming Futures.
YENOM delivers a holistic workplace financial wellbeing program.
Our programs are built on three key principles:
Understand your financial behaviours
Learn with proven methods and tools
Apply knowledge to build real confidence
Gamified learning systems (think Duolingo for money)
Social learning features (buddy systems, challenges)
Culturally inclusive frameworks
Flexible formats: online, in-person, and blended
Empowering People. Transforming Futures.
Our education is engaging, informative, independent and current. Students may choose the self paced, on line learning, or opt for face to face workshops, depending upon preference.
Our objective is to maintain our independence and objectivity, along with creating empowered, confident graduates who know what they need, how to find it, and what questions to ask. This is a shame free, supportive space where the only objective is the students well being and growth.
[ Your Money Personality, definitions, basic budgeting, goal setting, daily habits, where to start]
[How superannuation works, goal setting, investment terminology and planning, who and how to ask for help and advice]
[For those new to “they system” – immigrants, visitors, new graduates, new to the workforce. How it all works, and who to ask for which products]
[How credit reporting works in Australia. What is important to know and why, how to get the help you need. Basics of debt management and reduction]
[Terminology, what to look out for, who to ask for help]
Our Education is supported by professional, confidential, one on one financial counselling for those who need it. Most people don’t even realise this is an option. To clarify, we are not Financial Advisors or Planners. We don’t sell or recommend any products. This is personal counselling around money, to establish patterns, goals, paths forward and to assist with debt management and advocacy where
required.
This certificate is delivered face to face over 2 full days. It includes 3 separate units that cover the basics of Financial Literacy, Communication and Education. At the end of this course students will be able to;
Define, explain, and understand the definitions around Financial Literacy, Financial Inclusion, goal setting, budgeting, debt management and basic financial products available to the Australian population.
Identify issues with clients arising due to low financial literacy, and plan an educational program to address those gaps.
Deliver financial literacy workshops, sessions, training and engage with individuals around their personal financial needs.
Be confident in providing referrals to appropriate services, such as Ombudsmen, ASIC, Complaints Processes, Financial Hardship Proceedures etc.
A written assessment is required to be completed to obtain certification if required, as an additional tool in your professional tool box. This course can be a pathway to other Financial Services careers, such as Financial Counselling.
